Same issue here, as well as for one other user that I know. A compatibility update is in order, I think ...

Here's how to get Snapper back working in Mac OS 10.9 (mavericks)

please open your System Preferences and then go to:
Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility
Hit the lock
drag the Snapper application into the window (if it is not listed yet) and
make sure the check box is checked, like on the attached picture.

After you did this Snapper should work just fine.

I just opened Snapper for the first time since upgrading to Mavericks and it didn't work. I did the System Preferences/Privacy/Accessibility thing per Audio Ease's instructions and made sure Snapper was selected, but it's still not working.

I did get a crash report or error message, but I didn't copy it, and now I can't get it back. Wait I just quit Snapper and the "Snapper quit unexpectedly" message just came back. I'm sending it on to Audio Ease.

I've tried re-installing LAME as directed here: http://www.audioease.com/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1398358805; then uninstalled Snapper, restarted computer, re-installed Snapper as directed here:http://www.audioease.com/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1386095521. but Snapper is still not cooperating. (I had to re-authorize the app, too.)

I'm running 10.9.4 on a MBP. Snapper has always worked in the past. I'll see if Audio Ease has any advice after they look over the "Snapper quit unexpectedly" report i sent that crops up every time I quit Snapper.

Hi,

When Snapper quits unexpectedly this is due to the Accessibility preference in the Mac OS settings.

Please go to the mac OS settings and then to:
Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility
hit the lock
un-check and then re-check the check box for Snapper.

Now Snapper should work and the crash on quit should be gone now.

I'm sorry to bring this up again, but even after doing these steps I'm still getting snapper to freeze if I try to load an audio from video.

CryIs that known?

Pure audio are loading correctly, but no audio from videos. Cry

Hi,

Could you check the preferences in Snapper if the "show files with video tracks" is selected or not.
And does this make a change ?

Does this happen with any video file or only with some specific ?

What exactly is the freeze, do you get the spinning beach ball ?

It is selected, is has always been.

I work with mov files with several codecs. Audio codecs are usually uncompressed or AAC.

Just figured that AAC audio in video files are working fine, but movs with uncompressed audio makes snapper really unstable. The window just freezes in the previous state and takes a long time to show the uncompressed audio, it eventually does. After some tries tough,(in uncompressed audio in mov files) it hangs forever and I have to force quit it.

Then a "SnapperState" file is created on desktop. Before updating to 10.9 I had no such problem.
