Presets unavailable

Hi all,

Is there any reason why presets should appear as greyed out saying (preset IR not found) on a new install of Altiverb? I have installed every IR from the site (yes, everyone, it took a while!)

Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated

Kody

It depends on the channel configuration of the IR used in the preset. The preset is saved with a particular IR chosen, for a particular channel configuration. If Altiverb can't find a suitable replacement for the channel configuration you've inserted the preset it greyed out.

For instance, if you insert a stereo-quad Altiverb and choose a preset with a mono-stereo IR, say Mechanics Hall, Altiverb will look for a Mechanics Hall IR that's stereo-to-quad or mono-to-quad and has a similar mic and speaker setup. If it can find that it'll load the preset with the quad IR replacing the mono-stereo one. If it can't the preset is greyed out.
