As you may have noticed in the feature list Altiverb 6 Regular will no longer have surround capabilities. Altiverb 6 XL will.

In case you rely on surround samples in your Altiverb 5 (non HTDM) version, you can choose to remain using verrion 5 rather than upgrade to Altiverb 6 XL.

However, creating surround sound with Altiverb 6 Regular is possible:

• Create two aux tracks, each with inputs from different busses.
• One aux outputs to the front channels, the other to the rear channels
• Send your track's audio to both aux channels via two aux-send knobs
• insert an Altiverb 6 regular on the front aux
• select a room based on the stereo output.
• Then insert on the rear channels the same Altiverb, but from that room select microphones that are moved further to the rear of the room.
