Zeeuwse concertzaal, Middelburg, NL
Engineers: Arjen van der Schoot, Aram Verwoest This is a high concert hall for its size. Long, narrow and high. It is a shoe box, which acoustically is the perfect shape for a hall. It is built in the beginning of the 20th century, made of stone, plaster and pinewood it adds warmth and brightness in a pretty balance. We fell in love with this room as soon as we heard it. A Genelec 1032 was used to play back the sweep tone and a wide spaced (omnidirectional) DPA 4006 microphones setup to record. |
